I again painted her the same way as the brunette number one Barbie to create a unified pair of statuesque dream dolls. In a straight forward stance on her original stand, looking a tad off to the side with a little haughty attitude. She knows she is very beautiful and beams of confidence. Although she really is an inanimate doll, to us girls she was everything we could imagine her to be. A fashion model, a girlfriend, a playmate and on and on. She lives on forever as an icon that we worship and adore. To paint these dolls is to express that adoration and feel as if I was part of this sculpting of the Barbie, but only with my unique representation of her. That is art.
