Artist Statement:
"Art is a fixation that goes on between my eyes, my soul and the canvas. My brushstrokes are creating various shapes, values, colors, lines and textures arranged in ascending or descending order like musical notes in a symphony. A three dimensional scene erupts from a flat surface revealing a beautiful story, poem or song in color."
The above oil painting,
"Hurry Before It Closes" was accepted into the "Islands" exhibition at the
SOCALPAPA Gallery in partnership with the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum. It is
SOLD. My painting, "Great White Egret - Back Bay" is the same exhibition.
I have several original paintings in the new frameless art bin. This is an exhibition of over 90 paintings done in the California Impressionist "Plein Air" style. Exhibition dates, June 12 through August 8, 2010.
